The French Rugby League Federation has formalised a three-year strategic partnership aimed at accelerating the professionalisation and development of its flagship competitions, Elite 2 and Super XIII.
At the heart of this collaboration is the deployment of advanced video analysis technology provided by AIA Sports. The French Rugby XIII partnership represents a major step forward in modernising the infrastructure of French rugby league, enhancing both sporting performance and the visibility of competitions.
Through the integration of these cutting-edge tools, French Rugby XIII will benefit from:
- in-depth performance analysis, enabling coaches, analysts, and players to better understand game dynamics
- Teams to refine tactical approaches
- Raise overall performance levels.
- Save coaches and analysts time – providing data faster!
This data-driven approach is expected to promote greater consistency, efficiency, and competitive excellence across both championships.
Beyond sporting performance, this partnership is part of a broader ambition by the Federation to strengthen the structure and appeal of its competitions. By developing match analysis capabilities and leveraging performance data, the Federation aims to reach a new milestone in performance. This will further enhance the leagues ability to attract new talent, partners, and media, enhancing the commercial value of rugby league in France.
Strategic Vision of the French Rugby League XIII
“I am delighted that the French Rugby League Federation has taken a decisive step today through this partnership with AIA Sport. This project reflects our determination to equip Elite 2 and Super XIII with the technological standards now essential at the highest level of sport.
It carries a clear ambition: to sustainably support the development of our clubs, raise performance standards, and position French rugby league within a dynamic of modernisation and increased attractiveness. By investing in advanced analytical tools and supporting those involved in the game, we are preparing the future of our sport – strengthening its visibility, credibility, and influence” said Dominique Baloup, Président of the FFR XIII.
This initiative is fully aligned with the Federation’s strategy for modernisation and sustainable growth. Participating clubs will benefit from comprehensive support, including training, integration, and ongoing technical assistance, to ensure optimal adoption and maximum impact of the solution.
“Providing clubs with access to high-level technological tools is essential in today’s sporting environment. It not only raises the level of competition but also supports the long-term ambitions of the Federation and its clubs,” added Thomas Lièvremont, CEO of AIA Sports
